FAU EELISA Staff visit is a 3 day, planned visit as a group of FAU administrative and academic staff to an EELISA partner university to meet, learn, exchange on best practice cases, observe, and collaborate on a prior specified topic. Past topics have been Digitization and Research Management.

The next staff visit is going to take part from the 1-4 December 2026 at Université Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) in Paris. The topic will be AI in Higher Education and Administration.

Staff Visit to UPM, Madrid – October 2025

7/7The second Staff Visit was hosted at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in October 2025 and focused on Research funding / proposal development support and connecting research clusters. The main objective was to connect FAU staff and researchers from our proposal development support departments and our research centers with respective departments and institutes at UPM in order to facilitate further joint projects or grant applications. Activities included institutional presentations, exchanges on international funding programmes, and best practices in proposal and research support. Participants took part in a workshop on digital tools and AI for proposal development. Further sessions addressed innovation support, university–industry collaboration, and the use of Research Information Systems (CRIS). Job shadowing and one-to-one exchanges enabled networking and identification of potential research clusters. The visit concluded with site visits to UPM research centres and a final wrap-up on key learnings and next steps.
