Young companies from the EELISA-European University ecosystem are looking for co-founders, employees, or interns among EELISA students (students enrolled at FAU are automatically part of the European university alliance EELISA) to innovate4europe. They will present their company, the type of collaboration, and how their startup is expected to progress. Initial connections will be made during the subsequent matchmaking process. The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program will also be introduced as this might be a source for funding of the visit to the startup.

ARITeknokent (Istanbul) will introduce Erasmus for (Young) Entrepreneurs which might in some cases be useful for the matches.

Having successfully completed its pilot phase, ChemBid has evolved from a conceptual model into a robust, validated solution, now moving forward with confidence to scale its impact and streamline chemical trade through enhanced transparency and speed.

The startup builds on the FAU Expired Drug Initiative (FAU EDI) led by Prof. Heinrich.
Each year, vast amounts of unused or expired medicines are discarded; hospitals, pharma companies, and wholesalers pay for hazardous-waste disposal. FAU EDI has already recovered 100+ high-quality active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The team plans to scale this process and sell the recovered APIs as research chemicals—reusing valuable raw materials, cutting disposal costs, and advancing a more resource-efficient circular economy in pharma. Long term, they aim to become a certified supplier of recycled APIs for research.
